8. Considerations
8.1 In order to weaken the influence of the measured material on the accuracy of measurement, it is recommended that the calibrations should be done on the uncoated material to be measured.
8.2 Probes will eventually wear. Probe life will depend on the number of measurements taken and how abrasive the coating is. Replacement separate can be fitted by qualified persons only.

operation
1. Starting up: Press on/off key, the digits appeared represent current environmental temperature.
2. Zeroing(orreference): Use pure water,ortiter:clean liquid pool, drop right amount of water, press "adj" key, "ref' is displayed. Then "ref" is changed to "end" release "adj" key, now zeroing is finished.
3. Test: Mop up liquid pool with clean paper, then drop in liquid to be measured. Press "read" key lightly. The displayed reading value is the concentration value of the measured liquid. (pressing time should be not more than 3 seconds).
4. Conversion: When you need to measure other properties (such as refractive index) of a kind of solution, you should convert "concentration" in window to "refractive index". Please press "adj" & "read" keys by forefinger and middle finger of right hand respectively under status of shut down; at the same time, click "on/off" key with finger of left hand, now refractive index value is displayed. If you want to resume, perform the same operation after shut down. Conversion operation of other series is the same as this. Please refer to figure below.

Environmental or mechanical problems often affect ph measurements. Typically, in these conditions, ph meters give a false ph 7 reading. In most applications, ph 7 is the
expected value, therefore the user is not aware of the problem.
Examples of a false ph 7 reading:

broken
• Loss of signal (up to hundreds of meg
ohms) of the electrode/meter connection
cable, due to environmental humidity
• Cable or connector short circuit
